About Storm
Meet Storm! She's a German Shepherd estimated to be around 10 years old, searching for her forever family. After being found underweight and with her fur missing, she's come a long way with some much-needed TLC and is now a happy, healthy girl. True to her breed, Storm is devoted to her people and loves to be by their side. If you prefer a dog that doesn't follow you everywhere, she might not be the right match for you. Despite her age, she remains active and enjoys daily walks, often covering 1.5 to 4 miles with her foster mom. Storm would thrive with someone who will continue this routine or take her on hikes. She gets along well with other dogs but doesn't engage much in play. Though she coexists happily with both her foster siblings and dogs she meets outside, she needs a home without cats. Storm has shown a friendly disposition toward everyone she meets. Given her size, she’s best suited for a home with children aged 5 and older. She's made great improvements with her jumping, yet might still be overwhelming for very young kids. Storm is crate and potty trained and could be trusted outside the crate when home alone. It's worth noting that during her spay, a stage 1 cancerous mammary mass was removed, but it hadn't spread. Her broken teeth are not causing her discomfort at this time, although future extractions may be necessary. Despite her rough start, Storm is ready to embrace good things ahead.
