Meet Gigi, a sweet 6-year-old feline who is on the lookout for her forever family. This year has been a turning point for her, as she’s finally discovered what it means to be loved and cared for. After spending nine months in two wonderful foster homes, Gigi is ready to open her heart to a family of her own. Her past was challenging; Gigi didn't know the warmth of a real home or the comfort of a soft bed until recently. Confined for long stretches, she became fearful of loud noises and unfamiliar faces. When she first arrived in foster care, Gigi needed time to adjust, hiding under blankets and barely moving when people were nearby. Thankfully, trust was built slowly, and now she confidently explores her surroundings, plays with toys, and enjoys snuggling at bedtime. Gigi thrives in calm and quiet environments. She is looking for a patient family that can provide a peaceful atmosphere, understanding that her trust will take time to develop. While she may do well with respectful older teenagers, Gigi will not flourish in a busy home filled with young children or high activity. Ideally, she would love to be the only pet when she first arrives, although a calm feline companion might be welcome once she is settled. Gigi is about six years old and enjoys a mix of dry and wet foods. She is in good health but previously had a cyst that may need monitoring.
