Meet Sully! This 7-year-old, 23-pound Dachshund/Beagle mix is full of energy and personality, all packed into his short little legs. If you want an active walking companion, Sully is your guy. In his foster home, he walks an impressive five miles daily and still has time to play ball. He loves chasing after balls and eagerly brings them back for another round. Sully is friendly with other dogs and socializes well with most new people. However, he does have a strong prey drive, so he needs a home without cats or small animals—lizards and rodents are also particularly exciting for him. At home, he prefers to be close to his humans and enjoys snuggling at bedtime rather than sleeping in a crate. Sully knows basic commands like sit, down, and stay but can get a bit wiggly when he thinks treats are involved! He is still working on his potty training and will need a patient family to help him establish good habits. A consistent routine will aid his progress.
