About Bowser

Bowser is a hefty 96 lbs of pure joy, a big guy with a big heart. He might share the name of a villain, but don’t let that fool you; he’s all about cuddles and treats rather than trouble. Previously, he lived comfortably with young children and played well with smaller dogs. While he has yet to encounter dogs his own size, it’s advisable to bring any resident pups along to ensure everyone gets along. Bowser has been a bit anxious in his new shelter environment, but that’s understandable. If you have space in your home for this lovable giant, come bring your whole family to meet him! This pet is participating in an Adoption Audition, which allows you to take Bowser home for a 5-day trial to see if he’s the perfect fit for your family. If you’re curious about this opportunity, visit the shelter during open hours to chat with staff. You can find Bowser at either our Michael R. Frey Campus in Fairfax or our Lorton Campus. Check our site for details on hours and our adoption process.
