Meet Peeta! This affectionate 4-year-old boy weighs about 42 lbs and likely has some Mountain Cur in his mix. Found as a stray with an injured front paw, he underwent an amputation but has bounced back remarkably well. After overcoming heartworm treatment, Peeta is now eager for a loving home. In his foster environment, he’s making strides with house training, crate training, and leash manners. Peeta thrives in homes with kids over 5 and gets along well with other dogs. However, he does not do well with cats and would prefer a place without many stairs. His foster describes Peeta as a loving, playful companion who enjoys outdoor adventures.
