Meet Penny, a beautiful calico girl with a tender heart, born on December 24, 2022. Originally rescued as a tiny kitten from the St. Johns County Animal Shelter, she was adopted alongside her brother, Hanson. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, they were recently returned when their family moved to a pet-free home. Penny is currently overwhelmed in the busy cafe environment and needs individual attention to thrive. When given the chance, she leans into a gentle touch and purrs appreciatively. This loving cat is stressed, and we believe that in a calm and predictable home, she'll feel safe again and rediscover her affectionate nature. Upon return, our vet noted a stress-induced ulcer on her lip. With a special diet and minimized stress, she can manage her condition. During her previous home life, she thrived on a hydrolyzed-protein diet without flare-ups. However, in a free-roaming setting, we cannot ensure her dietary needs are met.
