Libby is a resilient young hound mix who came into rescue after being found injured and alone. Discovered hiding under a deck right after the 4th of July, she was severely dehydrated and emaciated, weighing only 38 pounds at the time. It’s believed she may have bolted from her home due to the loud sounds of the holiday, and sadly, no one came to claim her. Now, Libby has made great strides in recovery after undergoing hip surgery. She currently weighs 45 pounds and is gaining strength in her back leg. Libby’s personality shines through in her goofy, fun-loving nature, and she’s a sweetheart who craves companionship. She knows basic commands like "sit" and "wait," and truly enjoys fetch, bringing her toys back with enthusiasm. Libby is good with other dogs, although she can be a tad possessive of her toys. She has excellent house manners, often found lounging on the couch or sleeping quietly in her dog bed at night. Car rides are her absolute favorite—she loves feeling the breeze with her head out the window.
