Avoid placing him in a crate, as he becomes anxious and will bark incessantly; instead, a secure area where he can roam is best. While Blue loves his people dearly and enjoys playing catch, he prefers a home where he is the only dog. Slow introductions to other dogs are necessary, as he doesn’t do well with strong personalities. He’s also not cat-friendly. Blue is okay with older children, ideally 10 and up, who can respect his space. Living in a fenced yard will help him expend his high energy safely, and he's also good in the car and walks well on a leash—though he likes to pull if something catches his eye.
