About Daffy

Daffy is a lively 2-year-old neutered male Plott Hound Mix weighing in at about 65 pounds. Currently in a foster home in Mooresville, NC, he’s all set to join an approved adopter's family. This resilient boy has a heartwarming backstory; he was saved from the euthanasia list in Houston, Texas, just in time. Daffy's playful, energetic nature shines through as he thrives on activity. He loves playing with other dogs and has even made the honor roll at doggy daycare! While we’re not sure how he interacts with cats, a home with other playful dogs and an active family would suit him best. Given his excitement and size, he’s more suitable for families with kids over 10. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, Daffy uses his crate as a cozy space for meals. He enjoys food and uses a slow feeder bowl to pace himself. He responds to his name and loves playing catch! Daffy is still learning his leash manners, so some guidance will help him develop better walking habits. Just a heads up—when left alone, he might move items from your home to the yard, so crating him while you're away is a good idea. Daffy is a loyal, energetic companion ready to bring joy and excitement to his forever family. If you’re looking for an active buddy and have playful dogs, Daffy could be the perfect fit for you!
