About Valkyrie
Meet Valkyrie, an AKC-registered purebred German Shepherd born on July 10, 2022. She's a mix of intelligence and athleticism, bringing that classic Shepherd personality to life. Originally intended for search and rescue training, Valkyrie thrives on activity—hiking and mastering new tricks are her favorites. While she has a zest for life, she’s also a big cuddle bug, often preferring to snuggle into your lap after a day’s adventure. Valkyrie faces some challenges with high anxiety and a pronounced prey drive, which means she does not get along with other dogs. Although she has tolerated small dogs in controlled situations, a home with any dogs isn't ideal for her. She's been in the company of cats, but adoption in that scenario should be approached with caution. Her perfect spot would be a calm home with no other dogs or children under 10. An experienced pet parent, especially one familiar with German Shepherds or working breeds, would suit her best. Valkyrie has worked with a behaviorist and needs someone committed to ongoing training and a structured environment. For the right person, she will be a fantastic adventure companion as well as a cozy couch buddy. Click apply to start the adoption process.
