Mia is a 10-month-old Terrier who weighs only 8 lbs. Rescued by Animal Control after an alarming experience with heat stroke, she is still gaining strength. This little girl has likely spent much of her young life on the streets, so she tends to shy away from human interaction. Mia is not accustomed to affection and often looks to hide when outside, seeking shelter beneath bushes or shrubs. With her foster mom’s care, Mia is gradually learning that she is safe and loved. She's discovering what it means to have a warm bed and regular meals. Although she has a long journey ahead, Mia's desire to trust is starting to shine through.
