Bubba is a young male American Staffordshire Terrier, about 10 months old and weighing 20 pounds. He is a small dog with great house manners and is neutered.

About Bubba

Meet Bubba! He may have had a rough start, but his happy and playful personality tells a different story. This little guy came into the city shelter at just 4 weeks old, weighing less than a pound. After facing some challenges, he was diagnosed with Megaesophagus, which means he eats in an upright position and stays that way for about 20–30 minutes after meals. Thanks to a Bailey chair from his foster mom, he’s become a pro at mealtime. Bubba is now 10 months old and weighs 20 pounds, and that’s likely his full size. He loves playing with other dogs and gets along great with cats in his foster home. Bubba is a social, affectionate pup who enjoys being outdoors, chasing flies and other bugs, but he prefers curling up inside with his humans most of all. He has developed excellent house manners. Bubba wakes up when he hears his foster mom getting ready for work, rides beautifully in the car, and patiently waits for arrival at his destination. At bedtime, he settles into his kennel by 10:00–10:30 p.m. without any accidents overnight. Bubba doesn’t let his diagnosis hold him back. He just needs a family willing to spend a little extra time with him at mealtimes in return for a lifetime of love, loyalty, and laughter. This sweet, resilient boy is eager for his next adventure.
