Meet Miles! This charming 4-year-old, 22-pound Dachshund/Terrier mix is on the lookout for a loving forever home. Rescued from a tough situation in a Houston junkyard, he came to us alongside around 80 other dogs. He's had a rough start, but you wouldn’t know it when you see his cheerful, goofy smile today. While Miles may be a tad shy when meeting new people, he quickly bonds with those he trusts, becoming a fiercely loyal companion. One of his most delightful traits is his playful love for toys. Having never had his own before rescue, he's now making up for lost time and loves carrying around plushies, especially ones like his favorite giant rainbow toy. Miles enjoys playful games of chase with his doggy friends, so a home with a canine sibling would be ideal for him. He’s well-socialized with other pups, and you can often see him joyfully trotting around with his toys in tow. Physically, he is healing from some minor hair loss on his back legs and is finishing up treatment for heartworm, which he has bravely overcome.
