About Seo
Meet Seo, a large, young Belgian Shepherd/Malinois currently at the Lompoc Animal Shelter in Santa Barbara, CA. This sweet boy came in as a stray on June 26th, and in the 56 days since, he's shown a deep desire for human connection. He's affectionate and had a positive experience in his overnight foster home, although he does struggle with crate anxiety and has learned how to escape from it. When left alone, he may scratch at doors but remains non-destructive. Seo walks beautifully on a leash and is eager to please, showing great interest in learning commands, especially when treats are involved. He enjoyed the company of an older female shepherd and was curious but cautious around the foster parents' cats without any aggression. Unfortunately, due to the stress of shelter life, Seo has been prescribed medication for anxiety and has even injured himself trying to escape his kennel. He truly needs a break from the shelter environment, and his foster home would be crucial for his recovery. If you can help, the shelter will provide all the necessary supplies.
