About Jay

Jay is a handsome Cocker Spaniel ready to find his forever home. He’s a gentle, affectionate soul who tends to be a bit timid, especially around men, but once he builds trust, he loves nothing more than to snuggle up for hugs or playfully move your socks around. Whether you're relaxing on the couch or busy around the house, Jay is eager to follow along and soak up all the love he can get. This sweet boy is house-trained and crate-trained, walking fairly well on a leash. He gets along great with other dogs and has a calm demeanor, preferring a low to moderate energy level for now. As he reaches a healthier weight, we expect him to become a little more playful. He’s food-motivated and accepts treats gently, making training a joy. Though he may be cautious with new experiences, Jay rides quietly in the car and enjoys cuddle time. He needs regular grooming to maintain his Cocker Spaniel coat, a healthy diet for his weight management, and daily eye medication for one eye, but overall, he's a happy, healthy companion. Given his sensitive nature, he would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can build confidence at his own pace. In return, you’ll gain a loyal friend eager to be part of your family. This loving pup is located in Austin, TX.
