Meet Nook! This gentle senior gentleman came to us from Philadelphia's animal control after his previous owner noticed he was withdrawn and hesitant to be petted. His skin condition from an untreated flea allergy left him with bald, itchy spots on his belly and back. Fortunately, with proper care, his coat is starting to fill in beautifully, and he has transformed into the most lovable little companion you could hope for. At around 12-13 years old, Nook enjoys cuddling, playing, and will follow you around like a polite shadow, purring all the while. He loves being around people and greets everyone with a roll onto his side and a glimpse of his belly. He previously lived harmoniously with young children and, while he isn't currently around other pets, he can adapt well with a gradual introduction. Nook's charming, mild-mannered personality makes him an ideal fit for any home. He will warmly welcome guests and eagerly await your return after a busy day. He's been fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. While he has no special care requirements, we recommend routine flea treatments to keep him comfortable.
