His foster mom describes them as one of the most sociable litters she's cared for, thanks to their outstanding canine mom who raised them well. With his unique, waggy stubby tail and herding dog tendencies, Ballad is playful and smart. He loves chasing balls and romping with his dog friends, plus he enjoys carrying toys and getting lots of pets. He’s making great progress with housetraining and knows commands like “sit” and “down.” Ballad has encountered kids and cats and even been around livestock, showing he has a flexible temperament. Although he was adopted once, he returned due to some fearful behavior that hasn't surfaced during his nurturing time in foster care. To ensure his next journey is smoother, Ballad will undergo a professional behavior evaluation, which we're happy to share with potential adopters.
