Jamie is great with dogs of all sizes and has previously lived with a cat. She gets along well with children, including those aged 4, 7, 10, and 14. As a medium-energy dog, Jamie enjoys outdoor time and will need a fenced yard to play safely. She is house trained and crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and sleeps soundly through the night in her open crate. She's familiar with basic commands like sit, stay, and paw, which shows her adaptability. Jamie adores playing fetch and has a fondness for soccer and footballs, showcasing some herding instinct as she loves to bring the ball back. Due to her intelligence, she thrives on mental stimulation, requiring daily exercise through engaging activities such as puzzle games and trick training. For this reason, it's essential that her future adopter is home more often than not, as she cannot be left alone for extended periods. While generally social, she may need to be fed separately due to possessiveness around food. Jamie can be sensitive to loud noises like storms and fireworks, often seeking refuge in her crate when stressed.
