Looking for Her Second Chance Hi, my name is Zoe. I'm a sweet, affectionate brown-and-white pit bull mix with a gentle heart. I was rescued from Animal Care & Control of NYC when I was just 10 months old, and for 11 wonderful years, I was by my mom's side. Now, at 12 years old, I'm searching for a new family after losing the person I loved most to cancer. Living with my seven feline siblings has always been part of my life, so I easily get along with both dogs and cats. Even though I’m considered a senior, I still have a lot of energy. I enjoy walks, love to play with my toys, and thrive on the attention of my people. Affectionate and loyal, I’m happiest when surrounded by my loved ones. I've had a complete veterinary check-up and am up to date on all my vaccinations. However, I might have Cushing's disease, which can make me feel a bit anxious and leads to some frequent bathroom trips. Thankfully, this condition is often manageable with the right medication and veterinary care, allowing me to enjoy my golden years comfortably. I appreciate patience when meeting new people and adjusting to different environments. Once I settle in, my sweet personality shines through. My ideal home is with someone who understands senior pets and is ready to help manage my medical needs. Losing my mom has turned my world upside down, but I'm hopeful that someone will open their heart to me.
