About Lagetha
Meet Lagetha, a Lynx Point Snowshoe cat on a journey toward finding her forever home. This resilient mama has endured challenging times, yet she still hopes to learn that kindness exists in people. Abandoned alongside her five kittens—Astrid, Bjorn, Vidar, Kara, and Sigard—Lagetha faced immense struggles as she fought to feed her babies, facing hunger herself. Tragically, one of her kittens has passed on, and another came close to losing his battle as well. Thankfully, the remaining kittens have thrived, with Lagetha by their side. Although she initially approaches people with caution and may hiss at first, Lagetha’s demeanor shifts when she senses warmth and gentleness. She thrives on the soothing voice of her foster mom, often meowing for love and attention, and she has even allowed her foster to touch her belly—a true testament to her growing trust. Lagetha isn't seeking a home with expectations of an immediate confident lap cat. Instead, she requires a patient adopter willing to help her build trust at her own pace. In return, you’ll witness a beautiful transformation as this once-feared cat learns the comforts of safety and affection. For someone with a heart full of love and a bit of patience, Lagetha could be the perfect companion. If you believe you can offer her a loving environment as she continues her journey, don’t hesitate to apply. Adoptions are limited to about 150 miles from Locust Grove, GA, but certain exceptions may be considered. Click apply to start the adoption process.
