Meet CT Buttercup, one of seven adorable Saint Bernard puppies who found their way to rescue at just three weeks old. Now in foster care, she has spent her days being spoiled, making friends with kids and other dogs, and experiencing the world around her. These pups are irresistibly cute but come with some significant considerations. Saint Bernards are not for everyone. They require a financial commitment, as everything about them is XL—from vet bills to food costs. Keep in mind that they shed continuously year-round, and they can drool quite a bit, so be prepared for a bit of excitement and mess. Currently, Buttercup is a playful 15-pound pup, but she will grow into a very large dog, nearing 125 pounds. Preparing for her growth and training is crucial; early education is a must to handle a dog of her expected size.
