About Zither

Zither is a gentle 1.5-year-old Corgi/Chihuahua mix, rescued from an extreme hoarding situation in Texas. This sensitive little dog is learning that people and everyday routines can be safe havens. He needs a patient family willing to let him acclimate at his own pace, celebrating the small milestones like his tail wags and quick kisses. In his foster home, Zither has shown he gets along well with both dogs and cats, being respectful around older, more confident dogs. He walks nicely on a leash, curious about his surroundings without pulling, and he's quiet at home, content to rest in the kitchen area at night. Zither is still a bit shy when approached, so he would thrive in a calm environment with older, dog-savvy children or adults. His ideal family will offer him a stable routine, gentle support, and close supervision during walks to help him gain confidence. With a nurturing home, Zither has the potential to become a loving and more trusting companion. He is currently fostered in Randolph, MA. Click apply to start the adoption process.
