About Shilo
Meet Shilo, a charming 72-pound German Shepherd mix looking for a loving home where she can enjoy both thrilling adventures and cozy naps. Though she may initially be a bit independent in new surroundings, once she explores and settles in, her affectionate side truly shines. Shilo adores belly rubs and will roll over to let you pamper her for a long while. When she's excited, you might catch her prancing around on her front paws, a sight that’s bound to bring a smile. Shilo is well-mannered and knows her name well. After taking time to explore, she’s happy to lay down and unwind. She needs a considerate home that respects her senior status and allows her to adjust at her own pace. Her back hips are a little sensitive, so gentle movements and avoiding pressure in that area are best. Because of her needs, a home without small children would be ideal. While she’s adventurous and loves outdoor explorations, Shilo also enjoys coming back home to snuggle on a comfy bed. If you’re patient enough to help her settle into her new life, you’ll discover what a joyful companion she can be. She has lots of love and adventures left to share in her golden years! Shilo’s adoption fee is $225 plus tax, which covers her care at the shelter. Rapid City residents will need to pay an additional $8 licensing fee upon adoption. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
