Meet Pombon. She is a 1-year-old Pit Bull mix who recently arrived at our shelter as a stray and has never been reclaimed. Pombon has made significant strides in her confidence since joining us. She now enjoys walks with volunteers and is becoming more comfortable with gentle handling. While she tends to be selective about her greetings, she's shown great progress and allows volunteers to leash her without issues. Pombon would thrive best in an adult-only home where she can receive the patient support she needs to continue growing. She's learning to trust new people, though she can feel a bit tense around unfamiliar faces. Right now, we aren't sure how she interacts with other dogs, so any potential canine companions will need a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.
