Meet Penelope, a sweet and affectionately spirited girl looking for her forever home. Born on November 21, 2018, she is a small Pekingese at 12 pounds, full of charm and love to give. Penelope came to us after her owner, unfortunately, fell ill and could no longer care for her and her son, Roman. Though they arrived together, Penelope can thrive independently and is ready for a fresh start on her own. Recently, she underwent surgery to remove bladder stones and is recovering well. While we await the stone analysis, there's a good chance she will need a special prescription diet moving forward. Penelope also has prominent eyes, so her new family should be mindful of her surroundings to protect them from injury. Currently, Penelope is being fostered in Las Vegas but can travel to the Chicago area for the right home. She is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, making her an excellent addition to your family.
