Sweet Isla is searching for her forever home! At around a year old, she is a female Samoyed who came to the St. Louis Samoyed Rescue from a difficult situation in Iowa in Spring 2026. Isla is incredibly sweet but exhibits some puppy mill tendencies due to her lack of socialization. Her ideal home would be calm and without children, as their energy makes her anxious. Isla prefers not to be left alone for long stretches, thriving in an environment where her people are around more. A secure, six-foot privacy fence is a must; she has learned to scale shorter fences to chase after things that catch her eye. Isla gets along well with other dogs and has gradually built trust with her foster mom, who works from home. That said, she remains shy and may take time to warm up to new people. An understanding home that supports her journey in gaining confidence and training is essential. Isla is currently in a foster home near Omaha, Nebraska.
