About Genie

Meet Genie. Genie is a 9.5-year-old, 60 lb Heeler mix seeking a special home that values intelligent, quirky, and loyal companions. She knows a wide range of commands including sit, stay, lay down, shake, and roll over, making her a delight for those who enjoy an interactive dog. Genie thrives on long walks and outdoor adventures. She loves rolling in the grass, playing with squeaky toys, and snuggling up with her favorite person. Treats, especially cheese from Buc-ees, are high on her favorites list. Despite her active lifestyle, Genie is a total cuddle bug and prefers to be close to her owner. She's best suited for an adult-only home as the only dog, though she may get along with a calm cat. She isn’t a fit for homes with children or smaller animals. Genie appreciates her boundaries, so a patient and confident adopter who understands independent dogs will help her settle in at her own pace. Once bonded, she becomes incredibly loyal. Genie is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Her charming personality is filled with funny quirks, and she makes an excellent hiking buddy. She's ready to find that one person who will see just how special she is. Genie can be adopted locally or out of state, with transport options available. Ready to meet this devoted friend?
