Truman is our longest-term resident, at 11 years old and full of character. Most of the time, you’ll find him snoozing peacefully in his bed, enjoying the comfort of a safe environment. But don’t let his calm demeanor fool you—when it's playtime, Truman lights up! This little guy is a toy enthusiast, preferring balls and stuffed animals over treats. He's always ready to jump around, play fetch, and settle into your lap on cozy days while keeping an eye out for birds. Truman loves his daily walks and interacts joyfully with everyone he meets. His charming smile and playful nature make him hard to resist, especially when he struts up to the door, toy in mouth, ready for adventure. Unfortunately, he has been left behind at animal control twice before finding shelter with us, and he's learned to trust the caring staff at RAR. Now, he enjoys his days filled with naps and treats, eagerly awaiting the right family to take him home. While Truman is generally dog-tolerant, he would thrive best as the sole dog in a household.
