Meet Dottie! Dottie is an adorable 8-month-old Beagle and Australian Cattle Dog mix with a beautiful merle coat and soulful brown eyes. Weighing in at around 20 pounds, she’s a petite pup, and we don’t expect her to grow much larger. Dottie arrived at Canine Collective with her sister Sage, and these two have a blast together. They enjoy playing and romping around but are equally happy to curl up for a nap once playtime wraps up. Among the sisters, Dottie shines as the more outgoing social butterfly. At a recent adoption event, she eagerly approached people for attention and felt completely at ease being petted and held by new friends. She also showed her playful side with another puppy in the enclosed area. Food is one of Dottie’s greatest joys. This little girl becomes quite the performer, balancing on her hind legs for treats. Her enthusiasm for food will certainly help as she learns the ropes of being a young dog. Dottie rides well in a crate during car trips, though she’s still gaining confidence when getting in and out. She's new to leash walking, so she will need patience as she masters it. Right now, she is pee-pad trained, and with a steady routine, transitioning to house training should be smooth. Dottie is a sweet and playful young lady who will thrive in a family willing to provide her with plenty of love, playtime, and guidance as she grows.
