Major is a standout pup with an exuberant personality. He hails from a litter of three Mountain Cur mixes who had a rough start at a shelter in Texas. Fortunately, they were rescued and are now safe in a foster home in Southport, CT, where they’ve received all their vaccinations, been neutered, and are ready for loving homes. Weighing about 31 lbs, Major has a striking appearance with touches of brindle throughout his black coat complemented by a few dashes of white. He’s friendly, outgoing, and gets along well with everyone—from young children to older adults, and even with other cats and dogs. His foster mom sees him as a quick learner, eager to please, and food-motivated, happily accepting treats of all kinds, even broccoli! Major is currently in good progress with his housebreaking, often using a doggy door or a potty pad, and he's getting the hang of leash walking with encouragement.
