Zachary is a sweet and charming lad with soft fur, striking tri-colored markings, and an adorable curly tail. At 16 pounds and around two years old, this little fella was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in the Central Valley. Initially pulled in for a beagle mix, Zachary captured our hearts, leading us to bring him into our care. We're fortunate to have him as one of our favorite fosters. This mellow and well-mannered dog clearly had a loving home at some point. He isn't high-energy and prefers to be close to you, whether that's lounging at your feet, taking a cozy spot on your lap, or snuggling on the sofa. On his very first night away from the shelter, he hopped onto the foot of the bed, settling in comfortably without needing an invitation. He enjoys walks and is a champ on the leash, even waiting patiently at the animal hospital without fussing. Zachary gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with them. While he may need a little time to adjust to a new home, the love and companionship he offers are well worth it.
