Meet Fillmore! Fillmore is an 8- to 9-year-old, 13-pound Shih Tzu mix with a vibrant personality and an even bigger heart. Despite having limited vision, this cheerful little guy doesn't let anything slow him down. He’s curious, playful, affectionate, and his tail is almost always wagging. Fillmore delights in exploring his surroundings, sniffing around the yard, and playing with other dogs. He’s particularly food motivated and has quickly learned to navigate his foster home with impressive confidence, managing stairs and furniture with ease. He thrives best with other dogs and would love a canine companion to share adventures with. Given his vision limitations, he does best with people who communicate through voice, sound, and touch rather than visual cues. A securely fenced yard is essential, and young children might be too unpredictable for him. Fillmore can be a bit vocal when excited—especially around meals or playtime—and occasionally voices his opinion if he feels he’s being unfairly corrected. Beneath all that personality lies a sweet and resilient little dog who has adapted beautifully to his world.
