Meet Poppy! Poppy is a lovely young female boxer mix, estimated to be about 1 to 2 years old and currently weighs around 40 lbs. She found herself at Paulding County Animal Control, where she quickly felt comfortable enough to give birth to five healthy puppies. The shelter staff noted how exceptional she was as a mom, saying she had more stuffed animals than puppies to care for! Now that her puppies are independent, Poppy is back to her playful self, filled with joy. Poppy is a social butterfly who gets along well with people and other dogs. Currently, she's living in a foster home with five large dogs, including a few seniors, and she loves checking in on them. Unfortunately, we don't know her stance on cats. She's housetrained, fully vetted, and spayed, ready to find her forever home. Poppy is playful, curious, and an excellent cuddler who will make a wonderful companion.
