Elara is a gentle, mellow girl who may take some time to feel comfortable, but once she does, she’ll lean into you and settle right by your side. This sweet lap dog enjoys quiet moments and is motivated by affection. Housetrained and crate trained, Elara is also leash trained. She can be left alone for 4 to 6 hours. While she does well with other dogs, she would thrive best in a home with dog-savvy children aged 13 and above. Elara is still working on her socialization skills, so her ideal adopter will need patience to help her build confidence at her own pace. Elara has a heart murmur, so her new family will need to stay in touch with a veterinarian for ongoing care.
