Vernon is an incredibly sweet and gentle soul with a goofy charm that melts hearts. This lovebug thrives on companionship, often shadowing his humans throughout the day. Though he can be a bit shy at first—especially around new people like men—he quickly warms up, especially if there are kids around to shower with kisses. With a laid-back demeanor, he balances playtime and relaxation, showing off his Boxer silliness during those zoomie moments. Daily walks are a must for Vernon, who enjoys his strolls at a nice pace of half to three-quarters of a mile. While he can pull on the leash, using a harness makes things easier. He’s generally calm, not one to bark often, and while he gets excited around other dogs, he prefers the company of calm canines. He met a cat and showed no interest, which is promising for homes with felines or small animals. Vernon has some dental quirks due to missing front teeth but eats just fine; his food is soaked for ease. Post-neuter, the marking behavior has subsided, and he responds well to commands.
