Meet Nico, a charming Labrador Retriever and your potential new best friend! Initially shy, Nico quickly reveals a loyal companion ready to stick by your side. He enjoys walks with familiar dogs but has a bit of a bark towards strangers, which his fosters are helping him manage. His favorite activities include playing with solid nylon chews, Kong toys filled with treats, and rubber tug toys. While he’s still learning how to play fetch, he loves to chase after stuffies! After undergoing ACL surgery, he sometimes hops and sits in a unique way, but that doesn’t slow him down. Nico has year-round allergies that are managed with medication, just like his fosters. He absolutely adores cuddling and will happily snuggle all night, nudging you for attention or resting his head on your lap. Companionship is key for him; he’ll let you know if he’s feeling lonely, so another dog in the home would be ideal. Though he likes to chase cats in the yard, he’s not aggressive and just seems curious. Nico is trained with invisible fencing, responding well to the beeping signal.
