Meet Ashby! Ashby joined us when her previous guardians had to move and couldn’t take her along. This gentle and sensitive girl enjoys quiet companionship and feels most secure in a stable environment. Initially shy, she needs time to adjust, but once comfortable, she becomes a wonderful cuddler. Far from being lazy, Ashby is active and seeks out playtime, though she'll quickly find a safe hiding spot when feeling nervous. You might catch her napping in the sun or perched by a window, taking in the world. Ashby has lived harmoniously with another cat and could thrive in a new home with a compatible feline companion. A playful or overly active cat wouldn’t suit her. She has also shared her space with a dog and may do well with a calm, dog-savvy companion. In a home with children, she’s been great with older, respectful kids. Take your time with her, and you will see her true personality shine.
