About Dante

Meet Dante, our resident 'Scrappy-Doo'! This little man has a big personality that shines through in everything he does. At 4 years old, Dante is a spirited terrier mix who came to us from a shelter in Louisiana when they could no longer accommodate him. Since arriving, he's quickly become a favorite among the staff for his quirky charm and playful nature. Dante thrives on interactive play, enjoying games of tug of war and rolling around in the grass. He loves to toss his stuffed animals around and appreciates dedicated playtime with canine friends, as well as one-on-one attention from his humans. His kennel is always kept tidy, and he already seems house trained. Walks are a highlight for him, and he will sit nicely when asked—though he expects a treat in return for his good behavior! While Dante can be nervous in new settings and around new people, he responds well to gentle and gradual introductions. Although he may bark initially, he warms up quickly once he feels safe. When he trusts you, he reveals his true cuddly self. Adopting Dante means being patient and allowing him to adjust, but the reward is a loyal and affectionate companion. What are you waiting for?
