Meet Cochise. This handsome yellow Lab mix embodies gentleness. When he arrived at our sanctuary, it was clear he hadn’t had much guidance or structure, but he was overflowing with affection. A lovable baby at heart, he simply wanted to be close to those willing to show him kindness. Initially, Cochise struggled with hunger. Having been thin and without enough food for a long time, mealtime became a joyous occasion for him as he learned food security for the first time. With good care and regular meals, he now understands that food will always be plentiful. Training has been a learning experience for him. He didn’t know how to walk on a leash and would just lay down, but he quickly adapted to his new environment, proving to be easy to housetrain. He enjoys the comfort of a large crate when it’s time to relax. Cochise thrives on companionship. He's friendly with other dogs and loves to engage in playtime with them, embodying a sweet and gentle nature. With his big heart, he’s a true companion who yearns to share his affection with a family of his own. This neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated boy is all set for his next adventure.
