🍀 Lucky's Lucky Break 🍀 Sometimes, the stars simply align. On a hot, sunny day, Lucky arrived at H.A.L.O. riding in the back of a pickup truck. We hadn't planned on taking in another dog that day, but there was a need, and somehow, everything fell into place. And so, Lucky found her way to us. Lucky is an approximately 3-year-old Husky who is housebroken, cuddly, and full of personality. She's perfectly happy to wander over, rest her head in your lap, and soak up some affection. With a little bit of Husky sass, she can get unsure if she feels a boundary has been crossed. This sweet girl needs someone who will listen to her cues and allow trust to grow naturally. We believe Lucky would thrive with kids aged 12 and up who can understand and respect her signals. While she has shown a sweet spot for younger ones—she tolerated plenty of hugs from a child during her surrender—older kids who can give her some space when needed will be the best fit. During her temperament test, Lucky met a playful puppy and did well, indicating she might get along with the right canine companion in a home that can work to integrate everyone at their own pace. She does feel a bit nervous around cats but showed little interest in chasing a calm one, so a cat who “speaks dog” could also be a good match. Lucky’s unexpected journey brought her to us, and we believe the next chapter will be her best one yet. She just needs someone to turn her lucky break into a happily-ever-after. ❤️ Requirements include a Martingale collar and children aged 12 years and older due to her need for space.
