About Mia
Mia's journey is nothing short of inspiring. Initially brought to rescue after spending six long months in a shelter, she faced overwhelming challenges, including a serious heart condition known as PDA. Despite appearing fragile and exhausted, Mia’s spirit has started to shine brilliantly. Going through heart surgery on March 17th was a pivotal moment for her. Within a day, her heart began to return to a normal size, marking a significant turn in her life. Although her past includes hardships, including physical abuse leading her to fear ordinary touches and situations, she has shown incredible resilience. Today, Mia is learning to trust and play, showcasing her playful, quirky nature with her tiny squeaky balls. Mia thrives on structure and routine but needs a calm, quiet home without children or heavy foot traffic. A strong leader dog might help her navigate interactions with other dogs, but her ideal situation is as the only pet, where peace reigns. Though she was guarded at first, the love Mia can give is profound and deeply rewarding for those who take the time to earn it. This courageous girl's story is one of survival and hope, and she’s ready for the next chapter in her life. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
