Meet Chip! This charming young dog, around one to two years old, weighs about 25 pounds. He’s adaptable and just the right size for almost any household—a true ‘Chip-sized’ companion. Chip wandered the streets of Yuma, Arizona, unsure of where to go or who might be looking for him. It was a tough start, but things changed for the better when Central Arizona Animal Rescue rescued him. They provided a safe haven and nurturing environment, slowly helping him understand that kindness does exist. Chip is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, providing him with a sense of security he never had as a stray. Currently, Chip shares his kennel with other dogs and gets along well with them, displaying politeness and gentleness. He is a thoughtful boy who takes his time to assess situations before acting. However, he hasn't yet interacted with cats or small children, so that remains a question. Chip is on a journey to boost his confidence and is still learning about the world around him. Loud noises and sudden movements may startle him, but with patience, he is blossoming into a hopeful, loving companion. What Chip truly desires is a warm, quiet home where he can gradually learn to trust and thrive. He seeks an understanding family ready to offer gentle encouragement and cozy evenings filled with love and belonging.
