Meet Sweet Scout. This charming girl made her way to the Sacramento area from Mexico and has quickly captured the hearts of her foster family. Scout is a medium-sized, loving Labrador Retriever mix who gets along well with other dogs and adapts her energy to match theirs. Scout enjoys treats and is eager to learn commands. She already knows how to sit and is mastering down and stay, especially when treats are in the mix. A home with older children would likely suit her best, as she does tend to give playful nibbles when excited. At first, Scout was hesitant on the leash, showing little interest in walking. However, she's made remarkable progress and now looks forward to her daily strolls. Continued leash training will only help her improve further. She's house trained and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. After learning to use the dog door, she hasn't had any more accidents since her first day. Scout loves the water too, preferring to splash around in shallow areas rather than swimming. Her gentle disposition and eagerness to please make her a wonderful companion.
