Meet Indie, a cheerful and energetic 3.5-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever who is eager to find her forever home. Indie is full of life and affection, ready to share her love with a family that can provide the stability she needs. She thrives on playtime and enjoys activities like fetch, which she could do for hours if given the chance. An active family who can keep up with her energy and take her on daily adventures would be her perfect match. A fenced yard would be great, but long walks and outdoor fun are essential too. While Indie does well with dogs, she has a dominant play style and prefers companions of similar size. Although she has limited experience with cats and previously chased them, she might be okay with a cat-savvy family willing to introduce them slowly. Indie is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands, showcasing her smart and eager-to-please nature. She has successfully completed an obedience program, so consistency and routine will help her thrive at home. Due to past resource-guarding behavior, she's looking for an adult-only home without children. Transparency is important to us: Indie was returned to our care after her previous family reported some resource-guarding incidents. However, she's undergone evaluations with us and shown no concerning behaviors since her return. An owner who respects her boundaries will help her continue to feel secure. She’s currently being weaned from anxiety medication and may need patience during stressful situations like vet visits. Indie is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.
