Meet Jorge Rogelio Vicente Cortez, or simply Jorge! This charming 50 lb lab-hound mix was born on July 4, 2021, and is currently enjoying life in sunny San Diego, CA. After being rescued from a tough start in Ensenada, MX, he now thrives in the loving care of The Cantu Foundation. Jorge quickly became known as the "kiss toll operator" thanks to his sweet, affectionate nature and his ability to greet everyone with a wagging tail and plentiful kisses. He has spent time with loving foster families where he built confidence and learned that he’s safe. His days are filled with sunny relaxation, delightful pack walks, and bonding moments with his foster siblings. This guy is fully potty trained and crate trained; his crate has become his cozy retreat. While he can be sensitive to sudden movements, gentle reassurance helps him open up to his snuggly and loving side. Jorge would do best in a calm home with a fenced yard, older children, and doggy siblings he can be introduced to slowly. He hasn’t met any cats yet, so that remains a mystery for him.
