MaryKate is a sweet young mixed breed Terrier, likely between 1 and 2 years old and weighing around 9 lbs. She and her sister were found as strays, possibly abandoned in their neighborhood. After efforts by our volunteers to secure them, they were brought into the rescue when no owner came forward. At first, MaryKate is a little shy, but she warms up quickly and thrives on affection. You'll easily win her over with some love and attention; she enjoys giving kisses and has an endearing smile when she’s nervous. She's good with other dogs, though has not had experience with cats. She is crate-trained and has made great progress with house-training, but she’s not yet comfortable on a leash, so a fenced yard will be necessary.
