Meet Laela! This sweet girl is about 30 pounds and ready to be the star of someone's life. After facing hardships, Laela truly adores being around people and would thrive in a home where someone is present for most of the day. Ideal companions for her would be retirees, remote workers, or stay-at-home parents. Laela's journey began when she was found abandoned in the woods, heavily pregnant and alone. After being rescued, she gave birth to six beautiful puppies, and she has since seen all of them find their loving homes. It’s now Laela's time to shine. While Laela has been fostered with other dogs, she really prefers being the only dog in her forever home. She wants all the love and attention for herself, and after everything she has gone through, she deserves it! She is fully potty trained and crate trained, sleeping soundly in her crate at night, though she shares some strong feelings about being crated during the day. Laela is still learning to enjoy being a dog, beginning to play more often and gaining confidence along the way. While leash walking remains a work in progress, she’s improving steadily. Currently, Laela is heartworm positive but undergoing treatment fully covered by Mutts N Such Rescue, allowing her future family to focus solely on showering her with love. Having dedicated so much of her life to caring for her puppies, Laela is now ready for someone to choose her.
