About Sally

Sally is still waiting for her forever home. Her story is a heartbreaking one; she was abandoned at an outlet mall in Darien in early fall of 2025. After being brought to McIntosh County Animal Services, she was adopted in November, but sadly returned in June 2026 due to her owner's changed circumstances. Thankfully, they had only kind words to share about her. Sally is a great companion who thrives on activity. She loves visiting the dog park and plays wonderfully with other dogs, but her high energy might be a bit overwhelming for older or low-energy pets. Ideally, she would do best in a home with older children, aged 12 and above. She's housebroken and crate trained, and enjoys curling up on the bed for a cozy night. Sally needs an owner who can provide her with the structure and boundaries essential for her happiness. Note that she does not get along with cats. At 34 pounds, Sally is a spayed mixed breed with a short brindle coat, and she’s up to date on vaccinations. She deserves stability and a committed owner who understands her needs.
