Penny is a lively 10-week-old Labrador Retriever mix who is eager to put her past behind her. Rescued along with her littermates—Rocky, Sergeant, Eleanor, Prudence, and Rita—she endured 12 difficult days in a city shelter before coming to Humane Tomorrow. Those early experiences left her a bit underweight and scared, but thanks to the devoted volunteers, she’s getting the care she needs to thrive. Receiving nutritious meals, plenty of playtime, and the nurturing attention she deserves has helped Penny shake off her fears. Now, she’s ready to find her forever home. Penny is good with dogs and would do well in a family setting, especially with kids over the age of six. She’s still working on housetraining, so be prepared for the puppy challenges!
