AvailableAbout Bear
Bear is a lovable mixed-breed dog, approximately 2 years old and 45 pounds. He carries a behavior waiver due to a history of harming livestock, so staff will provide additional details during your visit. Large dogs like Bear may require some extra understanding, but they have plenty of love to give. He is currently eligible for Greenhill's Foster-to-Adopt Program, allowing you to see if he’s the right fit before making a commitment. Staff can provide more insights into this great option. Bear is a favorite among volunteers for good reason. They describe him as affectionate, well-mannered, and a joy to be around. He enjoys playful interactions and walks, making every moment spent with him enjoyable. Bear gets along well with friendly female dogs but prefers to avoid male dogs. He's looking for a home without cats due to his prey drive. When it comes to children, he would be best suited for those aged 8 and older who can engage respectfully with him. Bear came to the shelter as a surrender, and while he has a great personality, there might be adjustments to make in his new home. His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, updated vaccinations, a microchip, a free vet exam, and ongoing support post-adoption. Bear is ready to find his forever home—could it be with you?
